Cascada El Chiflon

Friday, I went to the waterfall pictured below. Actually, a series of waterfalls. Very impressive and quite a tourist trap. However, as much of a sight as it was, I was more of a spectacle and 4 or 5 groups of people asked to take my picture. At the end are two that returned the favor.

Las Guacamayas

After Frontera Corozal, I headed up to the "ecotourism" center, Las Guacamayas. VERY pretty place and there's nothing like waking up to hundreds of howler monkeys....the sound is a cross between a lion and...umm....a tonsillectomy without anesthesia? At first, it's EXTREMELY intimidating, but you get used to it. And they're SO cute!
