Las Guacamayas
After Frontera Corozal, I headed up to the "ecotourism" center, Las Guacamayas. VERY pretty place and there's nothing like waking up to hundreds of howler monkeys....the sound is a cross between a lion and...umm....a tonsillectomy without anesthesia? At first, it's EXTREMELY intimidating, but you get used to it. And they're SO cute!

So, eh-hum, this is actually my first time reading thru a 'blog,' let alone 'posting a comment.' Next thing you know, you'll have me able to use those fancy letters!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited and inspired by your experiences right now - and know that there are volumes more you'll have to share with us. Cracked me up about the kids and parenting bit. :)
Sorry I haven't emailed or posted sooner. Was knocked out with what the docs usually say when they don't know what's going on with you - 'the flu.' It actually had a hold on me (horizontally) for over a week. Maybe it was all a grand design to give the carpal tunnel I've developed a rest (from digging up the back yard).
My 'sabbatical' began to kick in after you left, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Just me and the kids out in the yard most of the time (if I'm not up with my nieces).
Can't wait for your next posting - and for your safe return. Happy adventuring!
love from julie, alice, elsie & burbie
